🧩 Overview

The Mages of Madison are bound together by geography, resonance, and a shared burden: the Capitol Node, one of the three metaphysical seals holding back the primordial force known as the Nameless. Though formally allied under a fragile Council, these Awakened are fractured into ideological factions, ranging from technomantic visionaries to primal mystics to rebellious Disparates. They fight not only for the city’s future, but for reality itself.

As of 1985, the seal is failing. Dreams echo with static. The Capitol Node “pulses.” The city, and the world, hang by threads of Quintessence and memory.

• Located beneath the Wisconsin State Capitol, the Capitol Node is the third anchor in a metaphysical triad designed to contain the Nameless.
