- Throughout the 1700s:
- As French and English colonial explorers pass through the region, they encounter subtle echoes of the Node’s spiritual war. Some leave with madness, others with visions of a “city yet to be born.”
- Native tribes continue their spiritual stewardship of Teejop, resisting the spread of both Technocratic and Wyrm-tainted influence through ritual and war.
- Late 1700s–Early 1800s:
- Nephandi-backed colonial cults begin subtly trying to exploit weakened ley lines near Lake Monona. These efforts fail when Dreamspeakers and Lupines intercept them during the Red Fog Rebellion, an event never recorded in mortal history.
1800–1836 CE: The Birth of Madison and the Anchoring of New Avalon
- 1800s – Madison’s First Supernatural War: The Technocratic Union and local Garou clash over the Capitol Node. The battle weakens the fabric of the Hollow Promise, but also unites Madison’s mystical community. The Node becomes the centerpiece of the city’s destinyWorld Timeline.
- 1829 – Doty’s Vision: James Duane Doty (unwittingly guided by the slumbering psychic echo of Jay Dee) purchases land between Lakes Mendota and Monona. His vision for Madison aligns uncannily with ancient ley lines and spiritual cross-currents. Doty’s dreams are recorded as “strange, radiant, and geometric.” He later admits he feels “chosen” by the landMadison Human History.

- The founding of Madison completes a 3,836-year geomantic ritual designed to stabilize the Third Anchor. The city itself becomes a spiritual sigil, sealing the Nameless for another cycle.
